Greetings of the day.
We are an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 company, manufacturing Forged components.
We are in the process of developing some of the forged components for the Automotive Sector who are adhering to IATF 16949. During their Audit recently, they have observed that we do not have the following documents. Can anyone throw an light or share their knowledge as to how to create these documents and/or any templates available within the standard complying to IATF.
1. Project Management.
2. Escalation Matrix.
That would really enhance my knowledge and hope to qualify as a supplier.
Regards.

Neither of those things are requirements under the IATF standard. You'll need to consult with the customer to learn about what's expected.
Greetings of the day sir.
Appreciate your swift response and thoughts. As advised, we will talk to the customer for the inputs and/or any documentation to be tabulated.
Thanks again for the inputs.
Regards.

Please read IATF section 8. It's all about planning and control, which is similar to Project Management. AIAG calls this APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).

IATF16949, on page 12 defines escalation process as: process used to highlight or flag certain issues within an organization so that the appropriate personnel can respond to these situations and monitor the resolutions. Reaction plans are similar, as seen in 4.4.1.2 product safety, 9.1.1.1 monitoring and measurement of manufacturing processes and Annex A: Control Plan's final element. Escalation could be documented for anything that one single person is not already fully authorized to make a decision. An example I have used is repeated non-conformances where I couldn't get corrective actions to stick. I would escalate the third recent similar non-conformance to the Management Review team to get visibility and accountability for other departments to use the corrective actions put in place for the first two non-conformances.
