I swear if I were to swap the signs on the bathroom doors here from push to pull the floor would be covered in ....

Is common sense such a rare commodity that it virtualy impossible to find anywhere.

I like the way that thread evolved. . .capacitor in a urinal huh?? :lmao:

Getting to the poll on that thread seeing I wasn't around then. . .I think you are born with the ability to have common sense. Parents to some degree nurture that ability. . . the child learns that touching something hot will hurt. . . being cute may get a reward. . .

Schools don't teach common sense because who has a degree in it to be able to teach it? Certainly not MBA's. . . HKU is probably the best school there is for it. . . School of Hard Knocks ala Steelmaiden.

I think I may take some flack here. . .but this is "interesting". . .

I have almost broken my nose more than once walking into a bathroom door that had a "PULL" sign on it. . . :lmao:

It really doesn't matter what the sign says Taz, but you should learn to open doors rather than just walk into them. :biglaugh:

Bad day, J????

Can't remember if I ever posted my Grandma's (God rest her soul) favorite saying: "(S)He's so dumb he couldn't pour P!$$ out of a boot if the directions were written on the heel"

Taz, my buddy, you remind me of my teenage sons. Don't look to see what way the door swings, just barge right in! See, that's where being a graduate of the School of Hard Knocks comes in handy, you learn to look before you leap.

We've spent some time on common sense, and as near as I can tell, we've decided it wasn't very common! As far as changing the signs, we've mistake proofed the door swing thing here, there are only handles on the pull side! lol

Ah...many moons ago, as a still-wet-behind-the-ears Frosh, I saw the chair of my Engineering deparment with his hands full heading towards a door. Figuring this was a prime kiss-up moment, I dashed over to get the door for him, to which he graced me with a smile.

I pulled and pulled and pulled some more...until he quietly said, "It's a push."

Trying desparately to cover my embarrasment, I mumbled my thanks and pushed the door for him.

As he walked through he asked, "What's your major?"

My reply? "Mechanical." He laughed and walked away and I learned right then and there to never, EVER, volunteer again! :o

Knowing how many guys actually wash their hands may make it preferable to have a door you can kick open with your foot to get out. :yuk:
