I would appreciate some insight as to best practices, observations, pitfalls, etc., in setting up a QAQC function within a pure service or transactional industry...this is my first foray into this environment.
I would first define what your product is. Then determine methods to quantify that product. What are your inputs and outputs? What can you use to demonstrate consistency?

In this case for a gas utility firm....This is my first real foray into a pure transactional environment...to date strictly manufacturing hard, discrete numbers and specs...producing products v services
