SAME QUESTION AS ABOVE JUST ADDED A LITTLE AT THE END

I am working with a customer who is running QS9000. For him to put my product in the line he needs me to be at leastPPAP level 2. Is this a form I can answer questions to or is there more to it? We are not ISO- QS or anything, but customer does not sound like I have to be, just that I have to supply the info on this oparticular item.

Thanks for any help or direction! I have found a quality manual on this site for QS but it seems like there is a question and answer form for the PPAP that is not included??

You need to supply the following:
Warrant- document that shows that the part complies, for a copy download http://elsmar.com/pdf_files/Partcertall-6.06.xls
Samples and dimensional reports.
Material certificates.
You should have other supporting evidence at your plant such as a control plan, flow chart of the process.
I hope that this helps.

You can certainly ask questions, but if you've never done a PPAP, you probably need some more formal "training." Some customers will walk you through the first one and explain all the requirements to you.

Get a copy of the AIAG PPAP manual. It explains quite well everything you need to do for any level PPAP. Follow it diligently and you will be fine.

PPAP

Our company supplies to other industries except the automotive industri.
When we get for example an order from a small company that is not certified against ISO or QS do we have to performe PPAP even if he does not want that??
Our certification body said that it does not matter from who the order comes from and that we need to do that every time.
The problem is we have a lot of customers and get new productes every day.
How do we do?? is there a better way of doibg it smooth??

It depends on your procedures. It is possible to write them such as you supply the necessary documentation as per customer request.
An example of comflicts within the automotive industry, French or German OEM's or the tiers to them request their own form of "PPAP" which does not agree with the QS version but as this is a customer request and I have defined that I supply PPAP as per customer request there is no problem.
I would suggest that the parts are submitted with a request for approval as this will protect you.
