hello
my Name is Princess and I am working for an architectural firm. its very challenging to control quality in this industry. I hope you guys will be able to help whenever I need some advice.
Princess,
I've assisted several architectural practices in the development of their process-based management systems to deliver confidence to their clients that their requirements will be fulfilled (aka quality assurance).
They achieve this by focusing on processes and actions that prevent failures to understand and fulfill requirements. Many thought more inspection (checking drawings) was the answer but they discovered it was not.
So, start by understand how your practice interacts with its clients to understand client needs and to translate those needs into specified requirements for contractors to result in buildings that satisfy the clients and their customers.
If your practice is already successful then show the greatest respect for its existing management system instead of replacing it with procedures from ISO 9001.
We look forward to your questions and hearing about your progress.
John
