Also check ur suppliers of the Chlorine. Improve Supplier Control for your the chlorine. Ensure each delivery is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis. COA to cover Bromate also. Our specification is not more than 325mg/kg Bromate in the Hypochloride.

We once had problems with our Borehole some years back and one consultant had this innovative idea of pumping some chlorine down the well. Have to confirm.

Did you contact the supplier of the water system - they should be able to provide valuable guidance on this ?

YES, We have contacted our water system supplier. As per their suggestion only we have reduced ozone dossing to 0.03mg/l (below specification) , stopped the chlorine disinfection of Raw water and instead of Chlorine we have fixed UV disinfection system after carbon filter but this have showed only a minor reduction in Total plate count(upto 35 % only). Anyway our present finished product is devoid of total plate count. But we are anxious about the shelf life period that is One year in Saudi.

Can the bacterial spores can regenerate to bacteria in mineral water during Shelf life period?

I would like to know the apt sanitation process for water treatment and filling unit, in a mineral water plant. for last several years using caustic soda 0.2 % and sodium hypo chlorite 60 ppm for weekly sanitation and daily after production using 60 ppm sodium hypochlorite. ln 2009 we installed uv sterilization unit, for 1 year there was no problem but recently starts microbial contamination in production water ( cfu <10 / ml ) samples. Water up to the Filler microbiology result ok , so for filler sanitation which chemical is good ?

We typically use a Hot Sanitation 5 Step Process for all process equipment, including the filler and tanks. Equipment is stainless steel. The Hot 5 Step also has a Cold variation without the Boiler. I summarise it below.
Step 1 - Cold Water rinse 5mins
Step 2 - 1% Caustic solution circulation for 15mins
Step 3 - Cold Water Rinse until Caustic is absent (Test presence using P-Indicator)
Step 4 - sanitize with 50ppm Chlorine solution circulated for 20mins
Step 5 - Cold Water Rinse until Chlorine is absent (Test using DPD Tablet #4).

Thank you Sir for your information, these five step already following with a slight variation of concentration, my quest, Can I add acid to in this step, I mean Nitric acid / else ? and how much concentration need ?

Asked fellow workmates. an alternative is to have a 1% chlorinated alkaline detergent at Step 2. and then at Step 4 - 1% Acid based detergent. Phosphoric acid is a common acid at this stage.

I would like to know the actual prcedure of chlorinated alkaline detergent and Acid based detergent cleaning ? ( sanitation of mineral water filler assembly )

we have previously used a chemical called Klenzit for sanitation processes. but currently just using the same 5 Step Cleaning.
