Does anyone still finds useful the use of a Quality Council in your Organization?
If so, what is the Council's schedule for their meetings?
One time per month?

Thanks

Re: Quality Gurus: Question on Comparison of Philosophies: Deming, Crosby, Juran

Our Quality Council is useful and meets once per month.

Juran’s Quality Council is very interesting in larger organizations in which a quality system is very difficult to implement due to the resistance on changing.
We are using it because we think that the Council is an excellent tool to guarantee that on the QMS everybody is going on the same direction!
If all the leaders are involved in the Council, we can be sure that we have a system at the same speed in all the organization.
They must perform (at least give their an opinion) on:
- Management system review,
- Audit program,
- establish and control the quality objectives,
- Analyze relevant corrective and preventive actions,
- Define the specific training on quality management.

Our council reviews internal audit results, external audit results, upcoming or past customer visits, preventive actions, corrective actions and ongoing projects. We also accept new items for discussion every month.

Our main problem is that we can't join all the people that compose the Council more than each 2 months.
