Quality Month Celebration Success Stories Circulation

Hi All,

In our organisation, we are celebrating Quality Month for the first time. We have planned several activities like Display Quality Sign boards, Quality Training, Quality Quiz Contests, Quality Slogan Contests, etc.

Among those, we have planned one activity which is circulating the Success Stories on Quality. I have gone through many websites, including Google LinkedIn and youtube. But I have not found any awesome stories or videos.

I think that sharing success stories due to quality will create some impact on people's minds. If you have any videos or short stories could you please share them with me?

Regards
Moorthi

Almost all quality that is called succes and makes for a good story begins (or ends) with pain. That pain is things either unknown that suddenly pop up, or known pain whose cause and thus proper corrective action was not yet known, or controls that were circumvented ending in disaster.

A short list of ones that can generally pique interest:
Survivorship bias, looking at what you have to identify the important factor for the things you've lost: youtube.com/watch?v=ZyLVIvBidIA
Tolerances, design changes and inspection maintenance of your backup are still important: youtube.com/watch?v=jxNM4DGBRMU
Analysis is not trivial, a big boat going through water/into sand has some very complex things acting on it which the typical person doesn't think about: youtube.com/watch?v=Ty-m4pm8oog
Appearance and spatial design inform regular and irregular personnel differently: youtube.com/watch?v=Tflm9mttAAI (also try looking up design gestalts, which can be important)
A change in template paperwork by 1 digit due to a fleet update, combining with some lax attention/lax control for considering what can happen when people are away from work for a while: youtube.com/watch?v=1oOLQjzPOFA
Trying to game the regulations due to competitive pressures (Short, but the full story is more interesting): youtube.com/watch?v=1oOLQjzPOFA
A culture of fear and theatre over cooperation and substance: youtube.com/watch?v=QP_Qyh6fZCg
Not appreciating training, time-pressure, and sharing passwords: youtube.com/watch?v=_2UnKLm2Eag

Involved In Discussions
The organisation I work for had our first ISO 9001:2015 accreditation audits last week. We've been recommended for accreditation!

It's eased a lot of pressure and things have calmed down a lot but getting people to interact with the QMS is difficult and there's a lot of inefficient processes in place that I'd like to change but one step at a time I guess.

Hi Mr Dazzur

Yes, Poster display is one of the ways to create awareness among the people. I have designed 11 posters for this Quality month and have to display the same in our Factory.
I need one good success story or real-life example or video " By quality how the success achieved". Video and Stories give an impact on people's minds. I have some videos and will share the link with you.
