Quality Objectives for Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions

Hello

Can anyone share some objectives for Quality Control & Quality Assurance department.We are the suppliers of electronic components.Some of our key processes are incoming goods inspection,in process testing,final testing.

Can anyone suggest some measurable objectives for QA & QC department.

AT a minimum - comply with the requirements of 8.4 Analysis of Data:

"8.4 Analysis of Data

The organization shall determine, collect and analyze appropriate data to demonstrate the suitability and effectiveness of the quality management system and to evaluate where continual improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system can be made. This shall include data generated as a result of monitoring and measurement and from other relevant sources.

The analysis of data shall provide information relating to a) customer satisfaction (see 8.2.1),
b) conformity to product requirements (see 8.2.4),

c) characteristics and trends of processes and products, including opportunities for preventive action (see 8.2.3 and
8.2.4), and

d) suppliers (see 7.4)."

Note:
1. When gathering data on suppliers include Quality and On time delivery.

2. In addition, make analysis of internal Quality and Quality to customers.

3. When presenting the results - keep the goals realistic and simple - (BAR charts work great with display of Goals and minimum 12 month of data).

Hi there!

Here are some we use!

1. Stay within 10% of departmental budget.
2. Maintain or improve average leadtime for inspection and release of final product.
3. Obtain average leadtime for completion of action items from Corrective Actions of </= X days.

Just make sure they are relevant to your corporate goals and are measurable - you should be good to go!

for incoming goods and their inspection very good and usefull tool is a QRQC. Do you know what is this? In my company we are using this quality tool in the daily meeting with a quality inspectors. Thus time for any corrective actions continues max 8h.
