Quality Policy - Combine it with our statement of 'Purpose, Values and Mission'?

Does anyone have any info about the need for a separate Quality Policy?

My VP and myself have just been considering our Quality Policy, and wondering if we can combine it with our statement of 'Purpose, Values and Mission'.

Any thoughts?

They can drop the term. They can't change its meaning.

The only thing I can contribute is the feeling that the policy is auditable. From what I read here in the Cove, it appears that what you say in that policy statement is subject to Audit and that means gathering evidence. Mission statements, to me, is where you want to be. Purpose and value statements are terms that I have not seen. I see "Purpose" in procedures and "value" as one of those nice things to say. JMHO
