sorry to bother
but I have one stupid question

5.3 Quality Policy
e) is reviewed for continual suitability

So my question is, when we review it and find it is still ok, "suitable" for out little company, does it have to be reapproved/resigned again????

No. And unless you've written it into your own QMS, there is no need for signatures at all. We review our quality policy during a management review meeting and document any discussion/actions on it.

we are scheduled to discuss it during upcoming management meeting, and it will show in our minutes, wasnt just sure about signature

No. You need some kind of record to show it was reviewed, but that doesn't have to be signatures. Minutes showing that (as suggested by other posters) are a good way to do that.

The requirement s clear... Quality policy has to be reviewed..Thats all... We do review our Quality policy during our Management Review meeting and evidence of the review is maintained in Minutes of meeting...

Every review does not call for a revision. If it still holds good, u can keep it as it is

Yes, we chose to revise our once a year, at our bingger, after the audit cycle meeting.

:topic: Insofar as the requirements concerning 'review' of the quality policy are concerned, there are two assorted statements in the standard itself:

5.3 says "Top management shall ensure that the quality policy is reviewed for continuing suitability." [means the Top Mgmt. doesn't have to do it by itself but to 'ensure' that the policy is reviewed (by someone)].

Whereas 5.6.1 states:
5.6.1 General
Top management shall review the organization's quality management system, at planned intervals, to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. This review shall include assessing opportunities for improvement and the need for changes to the quality management system, including the quality policy and quality objectives.

Records from management reviews shall be maintained.

But in this case, review of the policy by someone other than the Top Management is not permitted. ?
