This may seem like an odd question, but I am trying to determine how to order the correct 8-32 x1/2" Phillips Head Flat Head Screw. The item I am concerned about is the angle of the head/countersink.
The short story: I have a part with a specified countersink of 82°, the actual countersink is 90°.
We have recently outsourced this part and the supplier built it, 82° countersink and used a 90° screw. Now the flat head screw does not sit flush.
Is there a standard angle for flathead screws? I have looked and do not see this information specified.
Thank you,
Phil
