Question on Cp index - Calculating and Interpreting Cp and Cpl.

hi i m new here. i wanna ask for a favor for helping me solve this question...

it sound like


a process in control has an estimate standard deviation of 2mm. we hav a product with USL = 128mm and LSL = 112mm.



so, how i calculate and interpret the Cp, and CPL.

Cp = (USL-LSL)/(6*Sigma)

Cpl = (Mean - LSL)/3*Sigma

Funny, just a little math.

Cpu = (USL - LSL)/(3 Sigma) - Cpl

But the mean (or a central trend meassure - ie. median) is needed otherwise.
