We have an HF monpolar active accessory we have had on the market for 20+ years. China, which as many know still only accepts 2nd edition of 60601-1, has recently pushed back to us that this device does not meet the 3mm/kV creepeage/clearance requirements defined in 60601-2-2 edition 4.0 (clause 57.10). I know edition 5.0 of 60601-2-2 specified the spacing requirements for active accessories do not apply in lieu of passing associated leakage current and dielectric strength tests specified in 188.8.131.52. But china test lab is maintaining it must meet the requirements of the previous edition, since that is what is linked to the 2nd edition of 60601-1. Wondering if others in the community have faced this similar issue and if there was anything in the older version of 60601-2-2 that exempted spacing requirements for the active accessory. Thanks in advance for any help!
