I'm interested in the topic, but I want a little bit more information.
  1. Is this an independent initiative by the organization?
  2. Is it a response to a complaint?
  3. What is the process which uses the underground water? Can the effluent water be treated and reused in an economic manner?
  4. What kind of electric consumption is involved - major process like aluminum or copper smelting or electroplating? operating machinery?
(one of my electroplating suppliers invested in a natural gas cogeneration plant to supplement its electricity usage during peak power drain periods and sells excess back into the grid during nights and weekends)

How about identifying how many KW hours you get from a ton of coal or cubic meter of natural gas or barrel of oil and then other metrics showing how many lbs of emissions come from the same and lbs of ash? Some real stuff like that.

Why not identify how much water your process use including bathroom facilities and coming up with ways to reduce usage also reducing waste generation?

BTW...if your interested Wes...ask!!

Warshe & Wes....

There is a pretty good deal of info in the database, use a key word or two and do the search, some of the folks here have supplied some real good stuff.

I guess I wasn't clear, Randy. I'm interested because I have information to offer. As you and many others may be painfully aware, I have a penchant for describing brain surgery when someone really only has a splinter in the behind. I'm trying to focus. Work WITH me so I can be more efficient.
