7.5.2.1 states that the requirments of 7.5.2 apply to all processes. Regardless of whether they are mandated by customers or not. But if you look at the requirements of 7.5.2 and the requirements of 7.1, you will find a lot of similarities. Most of 7.5.2 is already considered during the quality planning stages, so there should be little additional work for 7.5.2.

Hello,

I sent my customers all emails (with read receipts requests), asking for their customer specific requirements. When I got a read receipt back, I printed it off along with the email that I sent them. This provided the proof that they had received it, and proof that I had asked them for their requirements. For those who actually responded with their requirements, I printed those. For those that didn't, I created my own, and emailed them asking them to either confirm or deny. Once again I used their read receipts as proof that they had received them. If they didn't respond to correct what I felt was their requirements, I assumed that they had agreed with me.

If you like, I can send you blank templates of what I sent them!
