I should have explained that we do have an internal procedure (but not a schedule, as you point out) as well as a database to capture audit scope, audit results, action taken to address findings, and evaluation of action effectiveness.
I agree that this rev of 9001 is much different than 1994, which was probably why I was so disappointed that our first consultant was trying to sell us his version of a quality system, vs. helping us to assess our current compliance and gaps. But that is all water under the bridge and we are moving on from there.
We are interviewing our second potential registrar this coming week, and will be in a better position to ask more informed questions, thanks to this forum.
