I am on the hunt for a regulatory standard covering acceptable levels for the migration of certain potentially harmful elements (such as chromium, lead, mercury, etc.) from materials used in manufacturing.
Perhaps I am really looking for several standards because I need to cover metals/alloys, coatings, polymers...)
The closest I have come to what I need is Part 3 of ISO 8124-3 on Toy Safety (hmmmm...I wonder why that's at the top of all the search engines
) - but I am looking for something more general or a standard covering food contact materials.
Please help to point me in the right direction.
