Hi All,
My company designs and manufactures parts over 2 sites in Japan (R&D/Engineering Site and Process Development / Production site). These sites have ISO/TS16949:2009
For one OE contract, the Vehicle Manufacturer is a UK based company, and the 'sales' are handled by our UK office. This is only deliveries - RFQs etc. all come to/from Japan. The only real function the UK office have is to raise Delivery Notes and Invoices for goods shipped from our Belgium Distribution Centre (BDC). The UK office does not receive or handle the goods in any way, and BDC is simply moving boxes.
Does the UK office need to be audited as part of our IATF 16949 certification audit?
If it does, it seems odd to me as the UK office is run under its own QMS (ISO9001) and does not follow the same QMS as Japanese sites (so what would it be audited against?)
Any suggestions or help gratefully received.
Thanks In advance
