Remote Sites per IATF 16949

Hello team, question about remote site.
in the company where I work we manufacture cables and wires, so we have 12 distribution offices in different states and even countries. Are those sites considered remote sites? Should I have them withing the system of internal audit?

First of all, we are talking about automotive products only.
Second, are these offices involved in any of your organization processes?
