Here's the MSDS link for water from J.T. Baker.

Please note - in this MSDS:
"Lab Protective Equip: GOGGLES; LAB COAT".

Heaven forbid we should *ever* shower. :mg:

Thanks for all the input, folks. I'm not going crazy with labelling, don't worry - this is strictly for MSDSs, not for labels. As I gradually morph into an H&S rep, these are things I want to clear up once and for all...as I say, I've reviewed the regs, but just wanted to know what *had* to be reported.

Cheers,
-R.

Rachel,

If you want to read something that will make you laugh then read this little beauty about good old water Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO). We had people believe that it was the most dangerous substance ion the planet.

The guy who wrote the page obviously has too much time on his hands but it is really well done LOL :D

You can get kind of crazy with it - my predecessor printed MSDS hazard Right-To-Know labels for bottles of water. Water. H20.

I argued that it was a waste of the (expensive) labels and if someone really wanted water to be labelled, I'd label it either with a Sharpie marker or a plain old label.

I guess the thinking was "I have to label everything" -- not "we need to label potentially hazardous materials"
you are unaware of the hazards of this substance you call water....

It's dangerous I tell you. Did you know that you can suffocate if you inhale it?

Mikyon,

It sometimes pays to read the other posts and replies. I posted this link eight hours before you and my post is directly above you....Have you been drinking dhmo? :lmao:

I was reading the board in order and immediately thought of the DHMO link. Guess great minds think alike. If I had finished the thread, I would have seen the three other replies of the same thing.
