Submit a PPAP all right, but do the absolute least work possible to simplify your life.
Recycle the original documents with new dates only. Send along current SPC data (or whatever current data you have) instead of new layouts. Print you calibration log and attach it to give it “heft”.
Clearly label this material as what it is. State that should this not be satisfactory, you will be delighted to resubmit what ever additional information is requested.
Put it in a big honkin binder, include some colorful company brochures. Make it a photocopy exercise. Print it in color. Use cool fonts and tabs to divide the sections.
My favorite is to put in a page halfway through the GR&R section that offers game tickets if you are contacted.
See what happens. I think the Army calls it “ground truth”. One way or the other you are going to find out what they do with this PPAP. My guess is nothing.
