Informational Required Documents/Records in ISO 9001:2015

Requirement 7.4 Communication doesn't require any documentation. Communication Plans or any other kind of document can in fact help to fill this requirement, but the standard doesn´t impose any retained document information.

Apparently, even the TC 176 SC 2 members are realizing the stupidity poor choice of deleting mention to records. While 7.4 does not mandate records to be maintained, I doubt all of the "communication" could be done 100% verbally. So, some form of "documented evidence" (not records) would exist.

I’m not referring records of made communications, what I really think it’s not a requirement is any kind of Communication Plan that states “what”, “when”, “who to”, “how “and “who”, communicate. It may be a good practice, but far from being mandatory.

Thankfully 7.4 doesn't have any record keeping attached. That would be an impossible task.

I am from textile industry. Our first audit has been conducted on 18 November, 2020. I am preparing for next audit on 19 November 2021.Please guide me what mandatory procedures I will do for the next audit?

Hello Saman. It would be the same procedures that you have during the 2020 audit. Unless there will be a revision of the ISO 9001 standard between now and November 2021, and new mandatory procedures would be required.
