Requirement of signatures anywhere in IATF ?

Good morning,

is there a shall in IATF in regards of certain documents needing signatures? I went thru the book and didn't see anything.

We are trying to go paper less as much as possible, and set up electronic signatures for certain documents.

I've identified myself what forms that need signatures like, deviations, ECN/PCN's, PPAP forms. But how about Procedures? Do they need to be signed?

Thanks for your help!

No signatures required in IATF 16949:2016. How documented information is approved, is your organization's choice.

If your company or another organization requires them, then, yes.

No to signatures, but identification may be required depending on the clause. So for example, we do inspections and our inspection program has a spot for the inspectors name. For procedures, you might want to have identification of the approval person/owner -- I would have to dig thru the standard for specifics but it may help with responsibility and authority stuff.

Golfman25, we use assigned employee numbers for inspections and recording of inspections which is done through excel.

Thanks for the advise on the responsibility and authority shall. I will keep that in mind. Have a great day !
