Requirements for Storage of Food Allergen Ingredients


Can someone answer the following question for me?

What are the requirements for storage of Allergen ingredients?

I work for a dietary supplement company, we do not manufacture our own products, they are sent to contract manufacturers to be produced. We purchase all our ingredients and I do have to sample those allergen ingredients when they come in, but the number of containers that get opened are limited.
I use disposable utensils to sample and then the containers are closed up to prevent leaking/contamination.
All allergen ingredients are identified on the individual containers of raw material and each ingredient is identified as an allergen in the Material Master Records.

Do I need to have a dedicated area in my warehouse to store these allergen ingredients?

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
