I agree with you Randy, but let me follow this up some more. We have as many labels as we have products, which is to say, several hundred, all on different products, with different information. Some customers required things like PO numbers, serialization, bar coding, part numbers, (thier own, not ours), and things like that. So each label is different.
Would it be okay to standardize the information as a form in a generic sense?
Such as a document stating " all labels will follow the format MM/DD/YY, Customer part number, our part number, revision, ship date, etc". Or do you see it as every part having a controlled label form individually?
Product identification may be through a completely different part number and revison than what goes on the label. Or is the technical specification of the label provided by the customer the form?
