Does anyone know what is meant by resquared sheets of steel? I think I know but a customer is challenging me as to the definition. I know how to figure the squareness of a sheet of steel, but would like some clarification as to the definition of a resquared sheet of steel. Thanks in advance.

Sheets required of accurate size shall be ordered "resquared"
Tolerance on width, length and camber will be 1/16" in a 48" x 120" size
For wider and longer sheets the tolerance will be 1/8"

Thank you for the information. But what I am looking for is the definition of the word resquared. What does it actually mean.

For me, the definition is that it is squared again for a tighter tolerance.
Commercially available sheet which is cut from the rolling mill is rough squared.
The fabricator squares it for his job or one can order resquared
(broken link removed) can be of some help to you
