Hi all,

I am not sure if this forum (Design & Development) is the right place for me to get clarification for this assembly, pls move this thread to other more suitable place if it doesn't.

I have been searching out books, google & msn search engine for images & keywords; yet, I couldn't get the right term for this assembly. I have attached the photos here.

Can anyone pls give me some ideas? I hope I can get some clue here.

Thanks in advanced!

Esthyl, don't worry unneccessarily.

Just follow your customer - whatever they name it. As long as you and your customer know what each of you are talking about, that is good enough.

Coming back to parts, there aren't any standard names to parts. One of the most common method is to name or describe it by its function. Thus, if the part you mentioned is for loading purpose, then just refer to it as a loading fixture.

Hi Harry,

Thanks for your reply. As I need to post it at website, that's why I need to get the common name (if any).

The function of so-called loading fixture clip is actually to open & close top & bottom clamping plates, which are normally named as loading frame cover & loading fixture.

Anyone familiar with this part? I am not sure... perhaps the so-called loading fixture clip really has no common name. :)

What is the part called on the drawing or your purchase order for the part?
