I was out working in the yard yesterday afternoon when a sound caught my ear. Being the second day of the EAA, the air show was in progress across the lake and it was about time for the warbird show to begin. One of the neat things about where I live is that the planes will come over the east shore of the lake and gather for the formation to the show.
I knew the sound and when I looked up there were 4 P-51's coming overhead. Although they were in formation, one of the planes for some reason broke formation and did a couple of manuevers before I lost sight of them. About 4 miles up the road something went terribly wrong and we heard the news while watching TV at 5pm... :mg:
