Whilst the design clause (7.3) is quite involved, it is at least well structured so I often follow the format when developing a design procedure.
Go through each step i.e. How you plan the design stages, including timescales, responsibilities etc. How you manage the inputs e.g. requirements for the design. What outputs will be produced e.g. drawings. How will the design stages be reviewed and what records will be kept. How will the design be verified and then validated and finally, how will design changes be handled.
I have attached an example.
