Hello,

Any one could give me explanation how many sample size to take in destructive test when we use ANOVA Study GR&R (Nested)?

Thank you in advance,

I don't think there are any specific guidelines for NUMBER of sample used for destructive GRR. A typical 10x3x3 design should work. There are however issues about parts selection and homogeneity of parts. The following two articles may be of some help.

Also please take a minute and Search the forums. You will find a lot of threads discussing destructive GRR (Gage R&R) with Nested Anova.

Atul, thank you for the articles.

BTW, I've read the threat and it mention that the number of sample size is depend on the number of sample size on process capability. What is your opinion about this threat?

I'm doing some "Cleaning Up' a bit tonight...

This is an old thread and I had to delete a couple of dead links (this thread is from 2006).

Does anyone have any contemporary links or information?

My Thanks in advance!

I think the number of sample size depends on the accuracy required and homogeneity of the test sample.
I always recommend that total sample size is more than 40.
If the variation is large , sample size should be enlarged too.
In case the variation is extra large, but high accuracy is required, then Total sample size come to 100 or more.
