I am in the process of reviewing our sampling protocol and am in need of some advice.
We are taking samples from lots of incoming raw materials (typically plastic resins and various fiber materials) and testing them at a (Sq root of N+1) based on N being the number of containers that come in. If we get 40 boxes of material all the same lot of material we test 8 samples. I am trying to rationalize reducing that testing to testing one sample of each lot so 1 test for the 40 boxes that come in. I unfortunately dont have access to the ISO or ASQ sampling plans to see what is the industry norm.
Any advice - and please in laymans terms.
Thank you
