Sampling Plan for transparent tubular plastic parts from 32 different cavities

Hi,

We have approximately 10,000 transparent tubular plastic parts from 32 different cavities.

Apart from the physical samples, we do not have any information.

We need to measure these parts to arrive at the dimensions and tolerances.

Questions -

1. What is minimum number of samples to be considered based on cavity numbers?
2. What standard or rational would support the same?

The questions asked are not the information needed to give a reply. ISO 2859 for attribute sampling, ISO 3951 for variables sampling, ANSI Z1,4 &Z1.9, and using operating characteristic curves to select sampling plans will help.

Hi,

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, apart from the given information, we do not have any other information. Can we use ISO 2859-1 - Single Sampling Plan or Multiple Sampling Plan from Normal Inspection?

Single sampling plan usually suffices. Double/multiple sampling plans are used when a low ASN is sought (perhaps for economic reasons). A decision on the AQL, LTPD, with c=0 usually is needed.
