Hello everyone,
I have been thrown into a project with very little experience. We currently use EtQ (Excellence through Quality) 6.0.2c with Lotus Notes to control gage calibration and tracking. We are looking to upgrade to something a little newer with a possible integration with SAP. There are over 10000+ device profiles listed in the current database.
One option is to upgrade to the web-based EtQ Reliance system. Does anyone have experience with this compared to using Lotus Notes? How well does it integrate with SAP? Is the whole EtQ package too much for just plain calibration control/documentation, as it is a complete quality management system?
The other option is to use the SAP gage control / calibration module (which is currently deactivated and has never even been looked at).
What are the pros and cons of these two systems? The rest of the company runs on SAP, so it would seem like a logical step, however, it may require some amount of training for the guys who work in calibration on a daily basis. The goal here is to be able to tie in gage calibration to the rest of the production system through SAP.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
