Thank you for clarifying your request. Since the English language is probably not your native (1st) language, your request was confusing. That happens. The good in this is, that you got the information you were seeking.

I am not sure she did. She was enquiring about AS9001, the latest response was that she could get "a copy of AS9100 ---." Not the same, unless her request was a typo.
I was also trying to locate information on AS9001 because I had received a certification listing that, when we had asked a supplier for compliance to AS9100B.
It may have been a typo, but the cert was from a "registrar: named PQA, and I could not find any information on them. I did see that there is a discussion thread about them started by Katydid who had the same question I did - Has anyone ever heard of them?

That's never a good sign, especially in the case of inappropriate emotional outbursts. Say what's posts are accurate; the OP asked for AS9001 (the Australian standard) and was given answers relative to AS 9100.

When going over the threads in this forum, I often wondered what AS 9001 B might be....... I have never heard about this standard in Germany before and I always thought that this was something "special" in the USA.

After all the "confusion" I wanted to know what it is about AS 9001 B and in one of the websites I found the following explanation:


In Australia, qms is governed by Standard

AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000

o ISO is the International Standards Organisation and
the Australian Standard is, properly, a direct copy of the ISO standard.
o The first Australian version was issued in 1987.
o The current version is the third edition.

(NZS is the corresponding standard for New Zealand)
