To the Group:
I'm seeking process flow examples for software development as a benchmark.
The program in questionis a C++ software package that is, a main stream application for business use regarding information creation, management and distribution.
My main area of interest at this time regarding process seeking is: R & d and VOC (Lessons learned).
Wallace.

I'm not quite sure that I follow you, but I'm guessing that you're talking about software lifecycle process models that incorporate process performance tracking. Take a look at some of the lecture slides from the software engineering class that I took last year:

https://www.cse.ogi.edu/class/cse516/

Perhaps there's some info in Lecture 2 that could help. (MS has a free PowerPoint Viewer available on their site if you need it.)

More rigorous material can be found at SEI: (broken link removed) (the CMM folks, as they hate to be called.)

Also a general resource is the FDA's General Principals of Software Validation - Final Guidance: (broken link removed)

It's fairly general in the sense that it tells you what you should do, but not how you should do it (which is good). And, since it's FDA, the document is free. :-)

Hello,

I'm also fairly new to QA in Software etc. I'm working at a small company making medical devices for nuclear medicine and I do the technical documentation. Software is one of the components and needed to be documented better. Replying to Wallace, I suggest a good book to start with; I knew hardly anything about software and QA got practically everything I needed to know (I think) from: Software Verification And Validation For Practitioners And Managers from Steve R. Rakitin. :read:
You might wanna give it a try.

Good luck :agree1: ,
Jerome
