I am not an attorney. But I have helped my wife create some for her clients. To the best of my knowledge the new deed needs to include both the buyers and sellers name and must be be signed by both the buyer and seller with the amount sold for. Call your county clerk/register of deeds, etc they may be able to help you more. You should be safe unless they forge your name. Anyone can view the deed at land deed office that wants to. Some states even have them scanned so you can use the internet to view them.
