I need a ship-to-stock(meaning parts/material directly ship to store without going thru In-coming Inspection) procedure for my reference.

Why not have a listing of your critical raw material suppliers and segregate them by the degree of scurtiny the incoming parts recieve? Then, as part of your recieving/inspection procedure state what each of those levels means?

You might have, say, 3 levels. Fisrt would be 100% inspection, second would be inspection of a sample, and third would be ship-to-stock.

I'm curious. Are you looking as a customer for criteria to allow a supplier to ship directly to stock? (Some systems, like Toyota, have established criteria for product to go directly to the production line with NO PROVISION for even temporary stocking.)

Are you looking as a supplier to convince a customer of the value of your own QMS to the point the customer can save the soft costs of incoming inspection, temporary quarantine, internal movement of product, etc. for products you ship in? (I was successful in getting several contracts for products at higher prices than competitors because I was able to demonstrate the net "product in place" cost would be less doing business with my organization.)

Hello,

I'm currently driving on this STS program.Enclosed is summary of presentation slide on STS procedure.In fact, I'm encountered lots of challenges on this program especially for those oversea suppliers. Hence, I'm only qualify those local supplier which is more easy to control & manage.

Hope this will help. I'm also looking at some enhancement STS program.
Is there any useful wedsite for reference.

I think following things are to be done before allowing suppliers to have ship to use facility
(1) do level 5 PPAP to ensure that all manufacturing processes are capable to meet specifications (cpk> 1.67)
(2) Verify few lots to see consistency
(3) once data shows that process is statistically stable stop incoming inspection & send material directly to line.
