Should safety checks be included in the Control Plan?

I am referring to machine safety checks. Should these be part of the Control Plan? I am reviewing our control plans and I have realized that they are listed there and I am unsure if they should be included in there or not.

For clarification, do you mean safety checks on a machine used to manufacture the product, or of a machine that is the product?

Safety checks on the machine that is used to manufacture the product. For example, checking that the emergency stop button on a press used to make parts works.

While you can put any kind of check on a control plan you feel is necessary, safety checks on the manufacturing equipment would not be a typical one. Those would be more commonly seen on the operator instructions or similar checklists.

Actually checking the machine safety can be a part of checking the whole condition of the machines. (emergency buttons are included to it).
But also checklist for the condition of workplace in means of safety belongs to OHS (occupational health and safety) which instructions normally tells operators to check safety systems each time they start a turn.

Hello all

In a control plan for automotive manufacturing is it a common practice to include a "rework process" as part of the control plan ? Rework process is listed on the the process flow diagram but does it really has to be there on and from there in the Control Plan. I feel like it should not be like that and I am curious to hear your opinions.

Thanks
