Actually my understanding is as follows:
Core Processes are all processes involved in the product realization (e.g. production, sales, purchasing, warehousing, design, QC)
Support Processes are Processes support the core processes (internal auditing, Control of documentation, Corrective & Preventive Action)
Stability of outputs doesnt mean saleable Products for sure. Since Quality is defined as "set of inherent characteristics which fullfils requirements" so we are not concerned about quantities produced.
If i would have shortage in manpower or problems in inventory or financing, i would rather go for stopping production untill ressources are ensured and i will not take the risk for losing a client because of insufficient ressources. Simply like this!!
