Thanx.... But still confusion is there.

Pls bare my queries...

If my process is validated .... Water is in control ... Energy is in control .. at R&D stage (validation ) product life cycle study conducted ... qty of waste defined (solid , liq. gas ) we already done EIA for inclusion of products in PCB' s Consent , still auditors are saying that "we should take improvement project/objective" to reduce haz waste qty , discharge of effluent "

Now this is an altogether different issue where the auditor advised you to look for 'improvement' projects. There are many inputs that you need to provide in order for someone to help you, such as:

- How mature your EMS is?
- What sort of hazardous wastes does your process generate and what do you do with those HWs?
- What do you mean by "inclusion of products in PCB' s Consent"
- What quantities of HW and effluents does your PCB consent prescribe?
- Are you 100% in compliance with the PCB/Consent requirements?

1. Quite mature EMS SYSTEM .
For Q.2,3,4,5 : Pollution Control Board consent norms ( HW, all Air, water norms) : we are complying 100%

1. Quite mature EMS SYSTEM.
When you say your system is mature, the auditor seems to be quite justified when he asks for an improvement in your EMS because the CB needs to verify that the organization has a process in place that enables the system to improve and continually improve from where it started. If you can't demonstrate it, you are in trouble because you have committed in your policy that the top management would enable the system to continually improve. Let's see what clause 4.3.3 says:

The objectives and targets shall be measurable, where practicable, and consistent with the environmental policy, including the commitments to prevention of pollution, to compliance with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and to continual improvement.
For Q.2,3,4,5 : Pollution Control Board consent norms ( HW, all Air, water norms) : we are complying 100%
The information you provided here isn't sufficient to make a comment.
