I
Hi Roxanne,
Those are very good questions in which most have already been addressed. There is a history with my company which we are an OEM of Fuel transfer pumps and meters for the Agricultural industry since 1973. We are UL, CSA, and Factory Mutual certified as well as CE marking for Europe. With that in mind, our process for ISO were in place, but there was a lack of dicipline to follow through with some of the core processes. Over the past 3 yrs, since my arrival, I have been working with our staff managers and floor managers to enhance our processes through training you have mentioned. We now have a revenue generating opportunty in Europe that requires ISO certification. In the past, our company has tried 3 different times for this and failed (my predecessor made it extremely complicated!!) I have been directed to take a more "non-invasive" approach...therin lies the challenge.
What has hit me like a ton of bricks is the fact that most of this information has not made it to the shop floor personnel...Objectives/Policy are posted, but no one really knows what they mean, Controlled documentation, no one really sure how to verify latest rev....etc., etc.,.
Yes, I totally agree...a little late in the ball game to hit the home run!! However, I would like to thank everyone's patience and willing to share their experience and expertise in this matter. After weeks of scouring the Cove for the "right" answers, I believe I have enough info to make this happen...effectively.
Thank you!!
