I want to ask you about the simulation of Contingency Plan required by IATF.

So, our company currently in developing of contingency plans.

The option we took is to move manufacturing process to alternate site. The protocols are including moving machine etc. to alternate site, trials, manufacturing process and also including communication and submission of process change request to customer.

My question is, how far the simulation of contingency plan required by IATF?
Does it has to be simulated all protocols, including the actual submision of Process change request to customer?
Is it okay if we just simulate only the transition process/(moving, trials, manufacturing)? *without really submit PCR to customer

Please for the advice

What do the customer specific requirements say? Some are more detailed then others. I would imagine you have confidence that all your machines will pass capability and run at rate if your customers require that.

Not sure what this has to do with contingency plan. It looks like a change in proces. You must have a lot of resources, including time and $$ to do this. My plant where I work has 6 customers that require IATF and it would be costly for us.
