i understand the feeling keyplas is going through. nowadays, many companies have established their green procurement policies. for the environment so to speak. the intention was good. but the method of engaging the policies is way way out.
getting suppliers to adhere to new policies is not easy. many of us, including myself see the benefits of implementing such policies, but, by forcing us to comply......... is like threatening us. "do or u dont get any business". the investment is not cheap. xrf cost a bomb. sending to labs for analysis cost money. we dont see much return of our investment, especially when customers are also requesting us to cut cost at the same time.
are we gonna spent $1000 to save $1?
look at the war. the environmental harm and lifes gone, worth more than what we are trying save. shall i suggest we also use lead free bullets and artilleries for the war, so we wont pollute the environment when engaging in war.
penny wise, pound foolish.
