I need from You all some help: I'm looking for an example ot training about SPC and statistical approach for control in production (cp, cpk, xr chart, etc.). Has anyone the file (exel, ppt...). I will be very greatfull.
I have a fair amount of canned SPC training materials that I have used for local training here at Hanford (in Washington state). Quite a few have been posted here on the Cove as documents. I have an overview of SPC available on the internet as the "Hanford Trending Primer" at http://www.hanford.gov/safety/vpp/trend.htm
I found that a good course is found on www.autotrain.org . I have used this online method for a beginning course. My quality people can fit this course into their work week.

If you are seeking SPC information for precision machining, you can start at Statistical process control for precision machining It includes a sample X hi/lo-R chart. It explains why the X-bar-R chart is the worst possible chart for precision machining - bar none, and that the X-MR charts has many of the same drawbacks. Both use the wrong statistics, and encourage overcontrol.
