I have a Control Plan that lists (MIC) under a few of the special characteristics. Can someone please explain what this stands for?

Welcome to the Cove :bigwave:. Other than noting that "mic" is often used as an abbreviation of "micrometer," I can't offer much help. When you're unsure about a specification or requirement, the best thing to do is query the source-- you should ask your customer or whomever "owns" the control plan what it means. That's the only way to be sure.

OK, so the question becomes who authored and/or approved the control plan?

A former employee authored the control plan & aprox. 90 more just like it. I have inherited the control plans & I am solely responsible for them. I am trying to get a feel for what he was doing!

Jim is probably right. Can you give us a copy of a page? For example, attached is a copy of a standard control plan. There is a special column to list something like micrometers (evaluation methods).
