Hello Group,
I just joined the 'Cove' and hope that someone will comment on my Special Processes Audit. (I hope this is the correct forum to post this in. If not please let me know)
My audits are broken into 2 major sections. The Processor Audit (attached) and the Specification Audit (I'm still working on) The specification audit will just take the requirements from a technical spec and put them in and audit format.
The main purpose of the Special Processes audit is to gather an understanding of the technical capabilities of the supplier. Like the first question in the audit, do you have a copy of the specification I have called out on my drawing? I don't think anyone will fall over from hearing this but I have seen many vendors producing and certifying to a spec that they don't have.
We are also not requiring certification/registration to ISO9000:2000 or AS9100 or any of the other Quality Management standards. Because of this I have included a few tidbits from those standards.
One issue I am going to have to address is the subjective nature of some questions. Another issue is that the questions may be good but there is no contractural obligation for the supplier to follow. (Good business practices cannot be forced). Comments on this would be appreciated.
I would appreciate any / all input.
By the way, this is not copywrited so I guess I'm sharing it with anyone that has a similar need.
In advance, thank you.
