On a somewhat related topic, I searched the posts for Business Case discussions with no luck. Can anyone point to or provide an ISO 9000 business case study?

The Harvard report is excellent, here is another report published by ISO but the research was by four academics.

About the benefits to staff, I can say with certainity that it gives a good and clear understanding of the overall business purpose or the big picture which is seen as same by everyone. This would help them in aligning their tasks and vision keeping the big picture always and clearly. The best part of ISO perhaps which can benefit all staff is the process approach (interactions of processes) to quality management system.
If not for this it would be like the seven blind men describing the elephant in seven different ways.

Jeff; I am trying to find some software that will enable me to email training material to targeted staff and they complete a questionaire with a few mouse clicks and I get a spreadsheet or individual printout of reuslts.

Havent been able to find any suitable software, It either too expensive or wont do what I want.

Unitl I find something suitable I email the material with a open and read receipt and a request to give a survey type response, eg on a scale of 1-7 how useful was it. THis enables training to be evaluated.

My material is in the form of a PDF doc which they open and read, nice and simple. This takes care of the training evaluation aspects as well.

How about using a fillable PDF associated with a database or spreadsheet to collect the data entered into the fields of the fillable PDF?

Instead of selling the benefits of certification why not train your leaders to develop their seminar for training the employees in the obligations and benefits of using and improving their management system?

It is just a reader-focused translation of Plan-Do-Check-Act.

Most people are comfortable with the say what you do, do what you say parts of it (usually). The prove it, and improve it parts are usually a bit harder to do consistently across a company. That's where your job comes in.:cool:

BTW how did you go with your initial gap audit?
