Star Wars Books - Anyone Else read/reading them?

Anyone else reading these books?

I believe I've read every authorized (Del Rey?) Star Wars books.
The only exception is I've missed some of the clone war novels, the juvinile (spelling) books and some of the recent releases.
(Unfortunately I couldn't afford/keep up with all of the Dark Horse comic releases).

(I also own about 99% of those books - I missed a few - Read the hardback and forgot to buy the paperback).

I've found them to be very entertaining. I enjoyed the series with the VONG, although I found the ending of the epic a bit weak/to simple.

I'm reading the first book of the new Hive (?) series. Interesting subplot with R2D2 having a recording of Anakin/Padame that was wiped from his memory - probably by Darth Vader.

I think you are one of only a couple of folks who have read all or nearly all.....another one is a fellow I have an on-going debate with.....he has not yet admitted however that the Star Trek universe will win the war over the Star Wars universe.....just a note, like most fans I like both.....just I like ST a bit better.....

There is NO QUESTION that ST would win out over SW (having been an avid Star Fleet Battles player for too many years to mention in public)...photon torpedos and the F-plasma RULE! Thats to say nothing of the disruptors, and the Aegis cruisers.

Anyone else into the SS (strategic simulation) gaming side of SF? There have been some excellent games in the past to enhance our enjoyment, and SFB was (with a little bit of tweaking) one of the best, IMHO.

We have gone way beyond that already.....I recently had to explain how I would use ST vessels with slipstream driveto transport Species 8472 ships to take out any planets that I don't have the Borg assimilate.....after having the Q move all Jedi and Sith to a planet a hundred galaxies away and preventing them from using influence.....haven't read his response yet.....

I've read a few. My friends who like to read are always swapping books with me. One guy is a SF nut, he lent me the Hitchhikers guide - I really enjoyed that one. Another guy likes fantasy books, and has given me several dragon theme books - good stories, not much word craft. I've been reading fiction, historical fiction, and historical exposes lately. I'm reading Dan Browns angles and demons now - very good read. Any way, the last SW book I read was the first of the Vong series, I read it before the sequels were finished. I can't say Del Rey vs Dark Horse really makes a difference - they both produce the same familiar story lines.
