I agree with Randy. However, if Hamm did the exact same routine as he did in the all-around, he should have been there. The Russian deserved a medal. His routine was exciting, and I didn't see any form breaks. But then again, the judges look for things the uninformed don't see - slightly bent legs, unpointed toes, but the 5 release moves topped everyone, and those seemed very tight. Hard to tell. I think Hamm got some sympathy vote from the Judges going after the booing frenzy. They deserved the boo though.
Despite all the security concerns and 'unprepared' reports Athens got, from what we saw everything went great and they should be very proud. I wonder how many behind the scenes crisis management scenarios took place. The organization involved with an event of that magnitude must be unreal. I know one person that went, and I'm interested to see what they thought of the security, facilities and transportation.
